W.G. Thompson

Thompson acted at the Carlisle School as the long time head disciplinarian, leader of the business program, and first ever football coach. In a long letter to Montezuma, Thompson outlines how almost everyone from the Pratt administration at the Carlisle School. Thompson himself chose to leave the school in 1907. A large majority of the correspondence between the two discusses the wrongdoing of hiring professional athletes for the Carlisle School football team. Many of the players are too old to be in school and simply attend the school during the football season and at no other times. Thompson is asking for Montezuma to write to any media outlet to bring the unfortunate realities of both the school and football team to light.
